The monitor offers an incredible 240 Hz with G-sync (or Free sync if you are an AMD user), which provides an extremely smooth gaming experience with crisp and clean visuals at less than 300 pounds. You can definitely notice a huge difference when upgrading from 144Hz and even more so if you previously owned a 60 Hz monitor. A high refresh rate, rapid response time of 1ms and 1080p resolution is an absolute must for competitive gaming and this monitor is insane! The monitor itself offers a great design. It has a slim border and a good sized, solid stand which overall gives the product a modern look. You can easily adjust the height through 130 mm, swivel through 30 degrees, tilt through a range of -5 to +30 degrees and turn it into a portrait mode. As a gaming monitor should, it has a pop out headphone holder and a USB pass through, which I found to be very useful. There is a four way USB hub and a headphone jack – everything you need in a monitor. The colour coverage is average, but not bad. It is perfect for gaming, but might not be as good for artists and content creators that require a high colour gamut. Although the colour coverage is not outstanding, the colour accuracy is excellent when compared to other gaming monitors. There are many different colour profiles to choose from, if anyone would like to change settings for different use purposes. The IPS panel within this monitor offers great viewing angles and good brightness, blacks and contrast. This is a fantastic monitor for its price and the target audience will not be affected by any limitations. Definitely a win for all pro gamers!

Keeping it simpleMonitor is easy to setupCan be a bit flaky on a docking station but reasons to followIf you buy this monitor you must upgrade the firmware unfortunately it lacks on ways to do this , the only way is using a machine with a display port output directly to the monitorWhat’s happens if you dont upgrade the firmware ? You may see the monitor flick on and off its display to a black screen depending on what your doing , it’s no big deal after firmware updateBut don’t let this put you off , firmware upgrade is available online straight forward , for the price , it’s 165hz it’s an all rounder which is better than mostIt’s packed very well , let’s hope amazon manage to send you the delivery code on time , you might not see it on the app but I got it on the web account on a PC but this is a side issue , not sure if this is only for Lenovo products or general deliveries , I didn’t get my email code until next dayApart from that I did a lot of research of cheaper monitors and this is a great middle ground on price but great quality

This screen had everything I wanted for the price, the HZ, the resolution, brightness.I’m a gamer with a high ceiling in FPS games and I have always had 144hz 24″ screens until this one. The colour and clarity is much better than my previous screens ( 144hz, AOC/Viewsonic), mind you it is a 2k resolution screen so you should be expecting a better clarity even if the screen is larger. It would be a 5 star screen if it wasn’t for one thing, the SOUND of the fan. There is a FAN on the back to help cool the monitor. Once this get too much dust, it will sound more than a high performance GPU at full load. Even with it dusted off, it can make quite the sound, even if I’m idle.To give you an idea, the fan won’t stop spinning for 5-10 minutes after I shut the monitor and computer off. There is no option to disable the fan or adjust the RPM and currently there is only one firmware released. The fan filter design is rather dumb and even as an amateur I could have thought of a few ways to improve the airflow(if the fan really is needed). I honestly have thought about trying to do surgery on the monitor and potentially removing the fan altogether – or replacing with a custom fanless solution (yes it is loud and will max out on RPM after a few minutes of office work)When to buy:When you are looking for a top notch 2k gaming monitor and the alternatives are higher in price (or you get a good deal) and you have a headset which keeps the noise outWhen not to buy:If you primarily use speakers at a lower volume.
